Today marked a new chapter in VRE's strategy for data collection across their systems. Montreal-based parking firm ParkingLogix successfully installed their parking sensors into the proof of concept site at VRE's Spotsylvania station. The system includes asphalt embedded sensors in both the entry and exit lanes which transmit count data via a solar powered repeater to a VRE back office dashboard. This system will provide VRE with real-time parking data for the first time and will in turn help VRE respond to parking supply concerns.
